HEAVY OVER-HOLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM (HOSS)

DESCRIPTION

The HOSS (Heavy Over-hole Suspension System) is designed for lowering and lifting instruments into boreholes and similar applications.

Whether you’re lowering or lifting a Vertical In-Place Inclinometer Probe or a Borehole Packer, the HOSS is designed for minimal exertion from the user. No longer do you need to bend over and hand-lower or raise the cable/wire attached to the instrument - let the sturdy, self-locking ratchet crank on the HOSS do your job for you. Simply secure your instrument to the wire rope (ordered separately), position your instrument into the borehole, grip the handle, and turn at your own pace with one hand. The self-locking ratchet system prevents rapid slippage of the instrument down the borehole if the handle is accidentally let go during turning.

For easy transportation, the HOSS’s legs can be removed and reattached quickly on-site without the need for tools. The aluminum construction is both lightweight and sturdy.
