RST Instruments Ltd. is currently inviting applications for the permanent, full-time position, of Field Services Technologist/Engineer in the area of Geotechnical Instrumentation.

As the Field Services Technologist/Engineer you will be mainly responsible for the installation and commission of geotechnical instruments and data logging equipment. You will also assist in design development, writing technical reports and manuals, provide technical troubleshooting and support. This position will be based out of RST's head office in Coquitlam, British Columbia, but the scope of the projects you will be involved with are on a national and international level and will require travel.

As the successful candidate, you must have completion of college/CEGP/vocational or technical training and possess the proper credentials such as provincial or territorial certification. Experience in the field of geotechnics is a major asset and experience in the following civil engineering fields will also be considered:
- buildings/structures
- offshore structures
- pipelines
- roads & highways
- bridges & overpasses
- tunnels & subways
- railways, harbours
- canal systems

Past supervision of construction projects will also be considered as an asset as will equipment experience with Campbell Scientific and dataTaker.

You possess essential skills in technical reading, numeracy, written & oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, computer literacy, and a willingness to learn.
